The Soba Girls Rehabilitation Center was commissioned by the Ministry of Social Welfare to address the need for accommodation for young girls who have been displaced as a result of conflicts all over Sudan. The design team conducted several studies, exploring different layouts for the complex to provide accommodation and educational spaces for the children. The solution was creating multiple interior courtyards between buildings to cultivate a feeling of community within the center.
