"The new laboratory project is part of the college’s plans to substantially increase the size of the college and the student intake, as well as provide high quality teaching laboratories, morgue and dissection facilities, lecture rooms, and associated administrative offices.

The brief was developed in close liaison with the client addressing the planned gradual increase in the size of the college over the forthcoming ten years. The architectural solution was to provide teaching and laboratory on several stories with external walkways and courtyards for natural daylight and ventilation. Most of the spaces are on the upper stories with large parts of the ground floor left open to provide outdoor social spaces for the college community.
